We've come a long way, Baby.....
Yesterday at school, Kobe spent his "free choice" time making paper guns for his two favorite people--Lincoln and Kali. Today, when he proudly showed me Kali's gun and announced he was taking it to give to her, I asked him "Hmm....do you think Kali likes guns?" He thought for a moment....and then my little guy said "You're right. I'll say it's a vacuum."

I know this isn't a new concept or anything but... Kids are so profound.
Tonight we were riding in the car and I was asking Lincoln about his day. To my inquiry of what he occupied his day with he says "Ah... not much, just video games." "There must be something else Lincoln" I reply. "At least there was no church..." he pauses. "Dad, I love God... but I just don't like church."

Tonight Kobe, Lincoln and I hit the hills. Not too often do the boys scare me. Tonight they did. They were absolutely fearless. Going down these hills FAST, spinning around and around, laying back and disappearing into their sleds. It was as if they became one with the sled.

Today was Kobe's first snow day. But the first words out of his mouth this morning had nothing to do with snow or no school....."Today is President Abraham Lincoln's birthday." This--coming from the boy who "can't remember" what he did at school 2minutes after getting home.
Lincoln, on the other hand, was excited about the snow. "The ground is filthy with snow!!"
And in keeping with the "filthy" theme....I later caught Lincoln standing on the table, wiping the dust from my chandelier. "Lincoln, do you want to dust?" I asked. "No," he answered, "I want to UN-dust."
