I am doing my best to keep up with what the 'kids' are saying these days. Sometimes it is just too confusing. I remember when bad meant good and just think how perplexed my parents must have been. What comes around goes around I presume.
Kobe in his first week of school declared one of his friends not cool, but fancy. Alex is one of Kobe (and Lincoln's) favorite friends so I assumed he is being lovingly referred to as "Fancy Alex." Like cooler than cool. Or maybe hot? Room temperature?
However, last night Kobe and Lincoln were riding in the back of the car and their conversation went something like this...
L (*with a concerned tone): Kobe, do I look fancy today?
K (*reassuring): No Lincoln, you don't look fancy.
L : Ok. Thanks Kobe.
Maybe fancy is a good thing, only if you are going for fancy?
I wouldn't dare ask them if I was fancy or not.
