This was a holiday season that won't soon be forgotten.

Our house has been full of family. To bask in the joy of new life. To absorb pain and provide comfort in life lost. And to remind ourselves that we our thoroughly loved.

On December 15th Wendy's sister Susan gave birth to Abel, a handsome little man with a peaceful disposition. Abel will never fully understand how valuable his contribution these last two weeks has been.

In the early morning of December 20th my sister Stephanie and niece Alyssa lost a husband and a father. Jason Campbell lost his battle with leukemia he had been fighting for over a year. Jason was a loving father and good person. He made an impact on everyone. During his hospital stays for chemotherapy his body was breaking down but his spirt was not. Jason's nurses and visitors spoke of his upbeat and polite demeanor during those times. I will always remember our midnight burgers. Jason was only 29.

This new year resolve to love.
