Kobe hit it big... first it was Pregnancy Care Center brochures... Now he is taking his 'killer look' to the 21st Century!
A couple years ago I was really into justifying a new digital SLR camera. I am sure you know how it works... "Oh, I will brown bag it and the money I save will pay for it." Well unfortunately I had already used that one... at least twice. So I got creative... I was going to make the camera pay for itself... There is a stock photography website called istockphoto.com. The gig is... upload your pics, they approve or disapprove of the quality. If they approve it goes into your account and gets posted. You go to the site, and can download pics for your whatever your media venture might be, web, print, etc. Every time your picture gets downloaded... You earn cash.
So I got some posted.. (and more sent back...) and a couple were downloaded, once or twice. Netting me just under .023% of that shinny new Digital SLR. But, camera was in hand... and I was no longer "brown bagging" again.
Tonight I get an e-mail from the site... "Your image is being used in a 'Designer Spotlight.'" Wow!
Ah, don't get too excited.. but do check out http://www.refuahtoys.org and see if you can find our little man!
Here is a hint... they put him on their 'bread and butter' page...
