Tonight was great fun! After catching up from a busy morning of playground hoping and wave jumping we got cleaned up and headed out for dinner. We went back to the Village because they have live music on Wed. nights 7-9pm. We ate at the pizza joint, sat outside right on the cape as we listened to the first set of music. After dinner we picked out one of our favorites from the candy shop (Kobe and Lincoln chose chocolate covered marshmallows on a stick with sprinkles on top, I chose a pretzel stick dipped in chocolate and carmel). We headed to the main pavillion with our treats for the Blues band's second set. Kobe and Lincoln met some new friends (girls) and ran into some old ones. They played with their friends within the confines of my sight, and I sat back and took in the warm breeze and good music.

This morning we hit the playgrounds waiting for the beach/pool temperatures to arrive. Then we grabbed our swim shorts and a quick lunch and hit the beach... Here are some photos...

Another documentation drawback..
I shot some video at the beach tonight and planned to upload a short clip... a few minutes ago I went to my backpack to get started on some quick editing and realized the cable I thought would plug into my video camera without the dock... would not. So no video until we get home... bummer.
Tomorrow I will remember the camera.

Vacation Alert: Watch for frequent updates to the site this week from "The Beach" (Lincoln/Kobe/Stephen) and maybe even some from Bosnia (Wendy).
A quick note about our first day here...
We arrived Monday with enough time to get settled in and head out for dinner. Since the boys were so anxious to get to the beach we decided to hit the beach for dinner at Finz. We ate out on the deck where the beach was just a few yards away. Lincoln says exasperated, but with a smile " We made it to the beach!"
After dinner we walked down to the beach. Here is what I am thinking... Turn back the clock 2 years ago, when we were last at the beach for what would eventually become this. Lincoln couldn't walk. Kobe was very scared of the water and wouldn't go anywhere close. I have no idea what happened to those kids?!? Before I knew it Kobe was knee deep in the ocean shortly followed by Lincoln. "It's warm Dad!" they proclaimed to me and everyone else on the beach (although the sum total was probably 8). Lincoln was a little timid at first... he didn't like the feeling of the sand creeping out from under his feet and back into the ocean. He was over it quick. An hour later the sun had finished setting and we headed back to the beach house... with our dinner clothes soaked!!! If I knew it was destined (pun intended) to be such an event... I would have brought the camera.
