Well... He did it. That little boy that snuck in under everyone's radar just one year ago survived his 1st birthday! He has fallen twice, been under the knife, been rushed to urgent care 4 states away, and lived through almost half of the "terrible two's" with us.
Lincoln, we love you! A lot! You make us laugh and your smile is so contagious! Happy Birthday.

There are some days when you just think you're not cut out to be a parent.
Today was one of those days. Lincoln, poor guy, is cutting teeth, and for four hours this morning, he was clingy and screaming...not a good combination for a mom who had things to do this morning. So you can imagine how anxious I was to get the boys to bed for their nap. Hurriedly, I put Lincoln in his bed with his pacifier (which I had hoped to take away today), and was quite surprised when he just rolled over with Bear & Silk (his bear and blanket) and went to sleep.
Kobe had already crawled into bed with "The Friends" (Blue, Prissy, Stuart & Doris) and was waiting for me to cover him up with Blue. Expecting him to start crying when I started to leave, I quickly tried to leave the room without saying anything or making a scene. But as I was walking out, I heard a little voice from Kobe's bed..."Good night". Ahhhh, I thought. "Good night, Kobe." ...and as I was closing the door, i heard the first ever unsolicited..."I wuv you."
I stood outside their door and cried. I really love my boys!!!
