It has been snowy lately. So, we decided to take advantage of it. E, Aunt Stars, Wendy and I went sledding while Kobe, Lincoln, and Alyssa stayed with Grandma Moe. When we got back we went out in the back and added the kids to our childlike behaviors. See highlights below...
Also, notice I added a link to before four on the side bar, for a trip down memory lane.

So these kids show up at our door 2 weekends ago. Sunday night about 9ish. This in itself is pretty alarming, but we do live in College Hill where people think it is ok to just come up to your house and ask if you need help painting. So we have these kids on our porch, we're not talking about baby baskets or anything, these kids were like elementary age. Two of them, a girl and a boy. If I had to guess I would say the boy was 5 and the girl was 8. Im pretty good at ignoring hobos and telling beggars to get a job, but these are kids, on my porch. So I let them in and got them something warm to drink. After some questions I told them they would sleep in the basement and in the morning we would find out where they belonged. I don't know if it was the hot cocoa or the Mt. Dew but they were bouncing off the walls. We heard them stirring in the basement until 3am. I still haven't figured out who's brilliant idea it was to let them hold the kids. But I thought it was website worthy.

The inseparable rat pack from this week....
Kobe, the intimidator.
Baby Sam, the braun, finds his strength from the colors scarlet and gray.
Lincoln, the brains of the organization.
Simon, the power source of the group, the red 'x' is protecting you from his radiant energy.
When they join together they form an unstoppable force! With powers to render useless an unsuspecting wide screen television, fill landfills in a single hour and reek havoc on anything they come in contact with.

The Wrong Turn
Sitting at a red light, I check my mirrors, look to my left for traffic and proceed to turn right on red. Almost as the accelerator was pushed a sad sob sounding more like a shriek comes from the back seat. I step on the brake thinking maybe Kobe has seen a 'no turn on red' sign that I have missed. Nope, all clear. The situation is clarified somewhat when Kobe defines his sorrows. " Moe........!" We are at the intersection closest to Kobe's grandma and we are making a wrong turn. As we continue on our way Kobe continues to voice his despair.
Kobe's reflections:
"Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried
before you give them your confidence." -GW
Courteous is pushing it, but you get the point.

All is peaceful in the Jones house this afternoon. The boys are on a schedule of taking naps at the same time. It is pretty cool. For a couple hours the house takes a deep breath.
We have been removing the holiday cheer from around our house. Yesterday I was taking the Christmas tree out and decided it would be best to take it out stand and all to minimize needles. Well I forgot that Christmas tree stands tend to contain water. I turned it sideways and dumped sappy water all over the floor of the entryway. This was not the only misfortune. Kobe broke Wendy's favorite ornament and turned off all the surge protectors in the house, including the one powering Wendy's computer as she worked. Lincoln sat around and laughed at us all.
