On October 29th, Kobe and Lincoln's great-grandpa, Dick Knapp, passed away. Several weeks ago, Stephen's grandma Dorothy was expressing what a wonderful husband Dick had been to her for 25 years--she said he was the nicest, gentlest, most loving husband that a woman could ask for. I only knew Dick for 4 short years, but I can attest that Dick was a true gentleman. And I'm sad that Kobe and Lincoln will not get to know him and to learn from his example. I pray that Stephen and I can raise two boys who will treat their wives with the level of respect and love that Dick showed to Dorothy throughout the years and who will be as devoted and selfless to their wives as Dorothy was to Dick in these past several months and years while his health was failing. We'll miss you, Dick!

I know, I know.
Today everyone in my address book e-mailed me except one. Each person saying the same thing... "Hey, your blog hasn't been updated forever!" For some this was a follow up e-mail to a conversation about the site not being updated. So instead of e-mailing everyone back with my lame excuse about banners prohibiting me from posting, I am just going to post.
Hopefully you are not the female member of the union known as marriage. The ante has been upped. Happy Early Birthday to me! Before I didn't want to tell anyone I was turning 25. Things change.....
