And Now A Word From the Mom--Today was absolutely beautiful, and Stephen and Kobe had a great time mowing the lawn together! (But Stephen's arms are killing him this evening since he had to carry Kobe and push the mower most of the time!) Lincoln is doing great! When the doctor first showed him to Stephen and I, we both were amazed at how much he looked like Kobe! But now he is becoming quite his own person, and while there is no doubt that they are brothers, they don't look identical! Kobe is certainly crazy about Lincoln, so that has been a blessing! It is still hard for me to not pick up Kobe, and it is especially hard for him because he doesn't understand why I can't! I'll be glad when we can all wrestle like before! But I am thankful because I am having such a great recovery! Most of the time I can't even tell that I just had a c-section, which is bad sometimes because I forget and pick up Kobe--which gets me yelled at by Stephen!! Stephen has been so great with Kobe over this last week. I'm so proud of all 3 of my guys!!! Thank you all for your prayers and your cards!

Lincoln is becoming more and more alert. He is looking around and smiling all the time. Wendy is beginning to move around better and without as much pain. And we finally got some good sleep on Sunday!

Today Lincoln came home! We left the hospital around 11am today and stopped at breakfast before arriving home. Kobe was glad to have everyone home but troubled that Wendy couldn't pick him up and rough-house like usual. Lincoln and Kobe both enjoyed the great weather this evening while playing outside. Lincoln's favorite things so far are, playing games late into the night. Welcome Home Lincoln!

Ah morning, my favorite time of the day. Lincoln didn't want to sleep last night. From about 2am on it is pretty much a blur for me, and not the good kind of blur you get from getting a good nights sleep. Right now he is making up for it though. Now the light is coming through the mini blinds and hitting me right in the gut. Besides that everything is great. Lincoln is still eating very good, and the doctor had nothing but good things to say about him.
Wendy is feeling a lot better now. We were a little scared when she began having sharp pains in her upper back and the doctor was ordering an EKG STAT. But with the help of a massaging water heating pad she is doing great. Lincoln is still doing very well. He wants to eat all the time. Today was fun, Lincoln's visitors included; Aunt Steph, Grandpa, Grandma D, GG, Gram, Grandma Judy, Aunt Susan, Uncle Nate, Kobe, DD + J, Dr. Conrad, Lisa, and Jeddfrey. Congratulations to Jedd and Sarah on the birth of their first child, a little girl, they are finally across the hall.
All together Lincoln had a good first full day of life.

Today Kobe came up again to see Lincoln. He loved him. Kobe sat with Wendy and I put Lincoln down on Kobe's lap. He put his arms around him and held him. He often would put his head down right next to Lincoln's. It was very cute. Something we are very thankful for. We were worried that Kobe would be upset about Lincoln coming and stealing us away from him. So far so good.
